Get ready to impress your guests with these crispy sesame-crusted feta fingers, golden on the outside and perfectly melty inside. A simple and indulgent recipe, ideal for sharing at aperitif time or served alongside roasted vegetables.

The contrast between the warm feta, the crunchy sesame coating, and the drizzle of honey creates an irresistible balance of salty and sweet flavors. Best enjoyed immediately while still hot.

Ingredients:

• 1 block feta cheese (about 8 ounces / 200–250 g)

• ½ cup all-purpose flour

• 1 egg, beaten

• ½ cup sesame seeds

• 1 pinch ground black pepper

• ¼ cup olive oil

• 2 tablespoons honey, or more to taste

Instructions:

Cut the feta into four sticks. Place them in the freezer for about 10 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.

Set the flour, beaten egg, and sesame seeds in three separate shallow dishes. Season the egg with black pepper.

Pour olive oil into a small skillet to a depth of about ½ inch and heat over medium-high heat.

Remove the feta from the freezer. Dip each stick into the egg, then flour, back into the egg, and finally into the sesame seeds, making sure all sides are evenly coated.

Fry the coated sticks in the hot oil for about 2 minutes per side, until golden brown.

Transfer to a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Arrange on a serving plate, drizzle with honey, and enjoy immediately while hot.
